Do you find that your motivation/mood changes in the winter? If so, what do you do to help/avoid it? Definitely. Montana is usually pretty sunny so that definitely helps. This winter seems to be gray so I want to just curl up on the couch and eat doughnuts. I like to try new exercises as it makes it easier to get up and go. It's easier to say just try it, than I have to go do this boring workout I do every week. I also made the outside goal to get myself out and get fresh air. That always helps me through out the year just to get fresh air.
Do you have any advice for your fellow challengers on staying on task? MOVE! No matter what your goals are for this challenge try to move everyday. Get off the couch and do yoga, stretch, do a tape, or go outside, shovel, walk, or go to the gym. At least for me just making myself do that each day makes it easier to eat better and stick to my other goals.
What day{s} of the week/month do you find it difficult to stay on task/motivated? The time of the month is always a bit hard, I just want to eat chocolate. I do know exercise helps with cramps so I usually do that. I would say the hardest times are after a long stretch of being good or before grocery shopping day. Those are the times I really really really want to eat out at some place fast fatty and greasy. To get through it, I overthink it. Think about what goes in the food, how I'll feel after, what would be the worst choice and the best choice, how many hours at the gym it takes the burn off.
Fun Question of the Week: If you were going on a road trip {longer than a day} who would you take with you? Where would you go? Oregon Coast. I've been thinking about this since I moved to Montana. I love the forest and rocky coast. I would take hiking boots, swimsuit (for hotel at least), and buy a cozy cable sweater when I get there.
you're on fire!
