WWW: Week 6

Life's Journey with a Smile

Week Six {February 7, 2011}:

  1. What have you done this past week to help you achieve your goals? Not too much. That's what I said last week, but I think it was worse this week. :( Yesterday I did run/walk 3 miles!! I haven't run 30mins straight since before the cruise, but yesterday I did (run 10mins, walk 2)x3 +2min run at the end. Then I stretched and did strength and ab workout. This week my training is to run 20min, run 25, then do 3miles on Saturday. I'll be running with my aunt and uncle so I HAVE to, no excuses. Unfortunately I haven't: done yoga, taken my meds everyday, gone outside, and I overate a lot. AND I didn't write stuff down or blog enough. Luckily I'm feeling a bit better and have run out of a lot of food, so this week my eating will be in control and you won't have to read much more whining.
  2. New month! Fresh starts! How are you feeling in February? This coming week I'm more ready for than last week. I was still in cruise mode and now I'm getting back to real mode where I don't need to eat everything in sight. And I'm getting used to the snow storm that is happening right now. Next Sunday my school starts! I'm excited but I know I'll be crazy busy.
  3. Are you competitive? Do you find that seeing how well {or not so well} others do pushes you? I'm competitive in the sense that I like winning. The thing I like about running is I just try to run longer or beat a previous time. When I do a race I pick a person that I either try to keep up with or won't let pass. Sometimes I have to change my target person, but then I remember that that's ok because I'm really only competing with the clock.
  4. What is your favorite outdoor winter activity? {Southerners can answer winter if they visit the snow, or just what you like to do outside} Cross Country Skiing!!!!!! It's beautiful, easy, and you can stop whenever you want.
  5. Fun Question of the Week: What would be your ideal way to spend a Saturday night? Dinner and a movie, out on the town or at home. With a special guy.
Positive Picture of the Week:
I saw this while walking around New Orleans. I think it's hilarious, but then I looked at it from a motivational perspective. What does your self portrait look like? What are you doing to find the tiger inside?

Outside Activity:
Me With a sea urchin!! On Thursday Jan 27th we were in Roatan, Honduras. The excursion we went on started with snorkeling, then kayaking, and a hike where the group found a sea urchin.

OOH I also have a few random questions:
What should I get my parents for their 25th wedding anniversary?
How do I get rid of fruit fly things that are on my artichoke plant?
Is anyone in the film industry? My sorority sister is moving to LA and looking for advice.

  1. I used to cross country ski all the time when I was a kid and I'm itching to go!

That's a tough one for the presents... I would get them something they could do together - it depends on your price range - anything from a dinner gift certificate, to a spa package!

  2. I've always said if I could go anywhere on earth for a vacation, I'd want to go to Roatan, Honduras because all the photos I've seen have been beautiful! I'm sooooo jealous!!

I think a great 25th anniversary gift is a double photo frame, silver of course. You could put a photo on the left of them on their wedding day or any other photo from when they were first married and on the right put one of them now.

    Visiting from WWW!
