Oh Yeah

Do you have those moments when you're like "Oh yeah, this is why I don't do this anymore" ?

I had this moment with .... peanut butter! It's a great way to get mono-unsaturated fatty acids (MUFAs!!!) But I can eat it out of a jar. Straight on a spoon, sitting in front of Biggest Loser. Even the all natural more gritty stuff. Almond butter I can control more. I can have it once a day. I can't eat it out of a jar. So I get the HUGE jar of almond butter from Costco. But I don't have a card so I have to go with my aunt. I ran out right after a Costco trip so I knew we wouldn't be going back soon. SO I just got some peanut butter. I've eaten peanut butter 3 times today. As I was getting my 3rd bowl ready I thought "This is why I don't buy peanut butter anymore!"

Live and learn eh?

I'm totally going the distance too! 2 miles on the elliptical, walked to work (2.2 miles) and walked 2 miles at work! I also biked to school. It was raining so it kind of made me feel like a fitness badass. But really it was too late to catch the bus so I HAD to bike. I like fitting in little workouts throughout the day instead of feeling like I have to get 1 intense workout in, all or nothing.

How do you fit a little fitness into your life?

  1. Peanut butter really is the mutts nuts! Love the stuff. Good going on the walking and other cardio - i know when i have walked 4 miles in just over an hour my garmin tells me i have burned 550-600 calories, so it really is a good workout, without feeling too much like a workout.

In terms of fitting in fitness, i tend to just make time for a run or the gym or the Wii, etc and do it in one go, but on my rest-days i will often go for a brisk walk for an hour or two, i always try and take the stairs rather than a lift or escalator, i get off the bus a couple of stops early and walk a bit extra, i've even been known to do some muay thai moves while i'm waiting for the kettle to boil (getting caught doing this left me slightly embarrassed though...lol).

  2. I love PB but try to stay away from it because I can eat it all. I was craving some a few weeks ago so I had a some straight out of the bottel for the first time ever.

  3. I am the same way with PB! Now I only let myself have 1 tbs with my breakfast cereal in the morning. I have been doing this for months and it has worked. I keep it behind my cereal boxes and know that it is only a morning treat.
