Bleeecgh

That's how I feel. We had a pumpkin carving party on Saturday. I didn't have time to make anything so I went to the store and caved into buy candy....a lot of candy. And that's what I ate pretty much all weekend.

This is why I'm worried about the holidays. I can't sit in front of food and not eat. I have to be doing SOMETHING and at a table with a buffet that thing is eat. I'll have to REALLY REALLY plan ahead for the holiday parties coming up. Bring good food, eat good food, and walk away from food.

Of course bad food has a snowball effect. You eat sugar, which taste good, but then you feel icky and tired to you eat sugar to try to wake up and feel better and so on and so on.

Now I have a tummy ache but it's also grumbling because all I've eaten is a banana about 3 hrs ago. I think I'll go buy a wrap because I don't want to wait and just grab candy when I get home. And even though my aunt doesn't like it, she and my cousin have more control than me so I'll take the sweets over to their office this afternoon.

  1. I have the same problem, so I do not keep anything but safe snacks in the house. I try and keep me some Weight Watcher snacks as much as possible.

  2. Planning is such a key for me. I just about panic when an unplanned eating situation arises. At least I used to, I think I'm a little better now. I still like planning.

  3. That snowball effect is called addiction my friend, and i know the powerful siren call that candy has over us all. I had a minor setback myself over the weekend and am taking action to correct it this week by removing alcohol from my diet for a while, as that is a huge munchies-trigger for me. If you can't beat it, remove it from your life by giving it to the relatives - good plan! ;o)

  4. I know exactly how you feel. I was asked to pick up some halloween candy for a small event and I found myself picking away at it. I had 4 or 5 mini chocolate bars alone. I've learned that I just can't have the temptations in the house!
