Ho Hum

Nothing much going on this weekend. Today I went to breakfast, work, worked out, walked the dog, had lunch, and went to the post office. All before 2pm! Then I hunkered down for some homework, a rest, and dinner, and more homework.

My new gym obsession is the chin/dip assist. I have to take off the max amount of weight which is 112lbs. I do pull ups and dips on about 90lbs. I can do 3 sets of ten, then can't move my arms for 2 days! I don't think I do 90lbs on any other arm machine but it's the lowest I can get on the assisted chin/dip. It's quite a challenge for me but I'm looking forward to only taking off 1oolbs, and maybe one day being able to do A REAL PULL UP!

I went to subway last night. It was 2 for 1 sale. I got a ham and turkey foot long with veggies and chipolte sauce. No cheese for me! On my calorie counter I had about 400 calories for dinner. A six inch was about 300 calories.....but after the first half I was still hungry. So I ate the entire foot long. Not the best choice but I didn't have any chips or snacks at the movie.

My cousin and I went to "The Town." It was pretty good. Bank robbers with moral dilemmas great for boys and girls and everybody! It was based on the "Prince of Thieves." That's a play right? or an old movie? or a book? Now there's the modern day Boston version. Back on the healthy living stuff, the food looked yucky there! Granted I had that food long before but I'm looking at the huge bags of m+m's, reese pieces, and twistlers. I knew if I got one I'd eat the entire bag and that thought actually made my stomach hurt! So I was fine with my water...even though I ran out 1/2 way through the movie. :) A bit of an NSV if I do say so myself. I'm not totally forgoing candy but those huge portions and always having snack at the movie I do not need any longer!

Any new NSVs or sweet new favorite exercise for you? Have a great relaxing Sunday.

  1. Well done on starting to do pull-ups....they are the worst, until you can do them! I have seen one of those assist machines before but still don't think i could manage even one pull-up on it.

I remember the last time i was in a subway i got a foot long meatball marinara with double cheese....don't know how many calories that would be, don't want to know! lol

Good for you on choosing to stay off the movie snacks.

  2. Hey I wish I could do a pull up. I do not have a gym any where close to me though so I am having to make due with what I can do at home. Good choices on not eating the candy at the movies. :)
