Stability Ball Kit

So about a week ago I went to Barnes and Nobles and bought a "swiss ball core training" kit. From those first racks where they have everything from how to knit kits to how to write a novel! The reason I picked this specific kit was that it had a ball, a pump, a workout book, and a dvd.

Today was the first day I watched the video. It's a definite PASS!

The DVD isn't a workout tape. It's just a visual of how to do each move. They explain each move then say "now it's your turn, press pause and do the move". That's not what I'm looking for. I wanted a routine to follow, not a video that read the book to me. NOT COOL. Also many of the exercises need different amount of weights, which is just hard to follow. I don't have 5 sets of dumbbells! Apparently you can download a file to your Ipod but if it's anything like the dvd I won't.

The ball is 55cm which is for height 5'3" to 5'8". The book has a lot of different exercises which I'm excited to try and let you know how that goes. I also like this kit because of the pump included, that was something I didn't have to try to find. There are lots of different things to look for with exercise kits and so if you want a ball pump and book this is pretty good.....but if you need a tape to follow find something else.

  1. I've done the stability ball and worked through the exercises before (I cycle through what I do...so that I dont' get bored). There are some exercises that just really work those muscles! I may have to get out mine and pump it up now!
